Nelson intends to sign a one-year deal with the Eagles, a source tells ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Bradham recorded 88 total tackles in 15 games for the Eagles last season.

Other Monday moves included the team adding more veteran depth with the reported signing of defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.

Signing Bradham could, however, spell the end for fellow linebacker Mychal Kendricks. He had 102 tackles, two sacks, and an interception in his first season with Philadelphia. When Jordan Hicks was lost for the season in October, Bradham became the defensive signal-caller and took over Hicks' spot on passing downs.

"Nigel plays with tremendous energy and fire and has made a number of impact plays for us at the linebacker position", the team said in a statement.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is killing it this offseason, deftly navigating the salary cap to make key moves.

Given how much Philadelphia is in sub packages, Kendricks' playing time will be reduced much like it was in 2016.

According to Ian Rapoport, contract talks stalled between Robinson and the Eagles after weeks of back and forth negotiations and the New Orleans Saints, the team that originally drafted Robinson 32nd overall in 2010, capitalized on the situation and locked their former player up on a new four-year deal. The addition of Nelson in free agency gives the Eagles another option for the third linebacker spot. And, the Eagles don't have a cornerback under contract over the age of 25.
