Coutinho backs Neymar to return to Barcelona

Real Madrid have been most heavily linked but some have touted a return to Barcelona, including midfielder Ivan Rakitic and Neymar's Brazil teammate Coutinho.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi will travel to Brazil in the next few days to meet Neymar and discuss his future, amid claims he could be allowed to return to La Liga this summer.

Neymar was brought to Paris to help the club win the Champions League for the first time, but his big-money arrival did not prevent Unai Emery's team from being knocked out by holders Real at the last-16 stage last week.

"Neymar's injury is unfortunate, but I'm convinced that he'll be back for the summer and we can count on other very good players". "Not just because of the relationship I have with him, but because of the type of player he is".

The rumors didn't end there.

Selling Gareth Bale could go some way toward helping finance Real's move for Neymar, while Mario Cortegana of AS wrote that the sales of players like Isco, Karim Benzema and Keylor Navas could help make up half the €400 million that could be needed to sign the 26-year-old.

He left, however, after growing exhausted of living in the shadow of Lionel Messi.

"It seemed insane to me and 10 years later they are paying 220 million. Or even earlier than that", Zidane said. The club is in fact quite loaded with resources, but such a fee would likely lead to depth issues and Real Madrid probably isn't interested in losing ground to Barcelona or other La Liga clubs. "There will be an element of mistrust and if Barcelona could not satisfy him on the football pitch, and with the salary, then why would anyone else pay double the amount it took PSG to buy him?"

Ronaldo has urged PSG star Neymar to simply focus on recovering from his foot injury.
