That adventure is being ported to Nintendo Switch on 13th July, but as with many of Nintendo's Wii U to Switch ports, it's got a few little extra tricks hidden away in there.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was one of the premier releases on Wii U. It offered beautifully detailed puzzle worlds for the titular toad to bumble his way through.

For the most part, these versions are the same game as the original.

Honestly, this is one of the better games on the Wii U, so I'm all for it.

A Nintendo 3DS version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, which includes stereoscopic 3D visuals and touch-screen controls, also launches on July 13. Even without asymmetrical play, though, Captain Toad is a blast. Well, that's because the game was left to die a retail death on the fledgling Wii U. However, the game's low sales had nothing to do with the quality of the title itself. In the game, you play as Captain Toad in a platformer environment, but instead of being able to jump over and slide under obstacles, you'll have to create paths for the Captain.
