Apple Orders 'Central Park' Animated Comedy from Creators of Bob's Burgers

Animated Musical Comedy Central Park Lands at Apple

The series comes from the creator/executive producer of the Emmy-winning Fox/20th TV animated comedy series Bob's Burgers Loren Bouchard, who co-wrote it with the Bob's Burgers' executive producer Nora Smith and actor-writer Josh Gad (Frozen). Gad will lend his voice to the series along with Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Daveed Diggs, and Kathryn Hahn.

The 26-episode order (two 13-episode seasons) will focus on the story of a family of caretakers who live in Central Park.

The series is called Central Park, and is co-written by Josh Gad and Nora Smith in addition to Bouchard, and it follows a group of caretakers who live and work in the titular location in NY.

The show was originally developed for Fox, where Bouchard has an overall deal. Central Park marks the 12th known television show that is being invested in by Apple.

Apple has already committed to a two-season pickup for Central Park, not unlike what Netflix recently did when they managed to snag the Riverdale spinoff Sabrina from Warner Bros. "So excited to be bringing the world this new musical series".
