It was believed that the company would launch the Mi 7 at MWC but, recently, rumours about the Mi Mix 2S have picked up.

As per a report of GizmoChina, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will be featuring a four-sided curved ceramic unibody. Apart from this, some major changes are made to the phone's hardware that already make it much better than its predecessor Mi 6.

Xiaomi will be launching the Mi 7 as its latest flagship smartphone of 2018. The Mi 7 could be backed by a massive 4,480 battery, compared to a 3,350mAh one on the Mi 6. The screenshot reveals that the Snapdragon 845 chipset will be under the hood, carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 630 GPU. That said, if Xiaomi is indeed planning to unveil the Mi MIX 2S this month, then we can expect more information to surface online about this phone in the coming days. The Mi 6 launched in early 2017 is the first Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone to launch in the Chinese market. The specs sheet also mentioned the inclusion of an under-display fingerprint sensor, a feature that even giants like Apple and Samsung have been struggling to implement on their flagship phones. Instead, Xiaomi is going to present the Mi MIX 2S, rivaling the other premium devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2 Pro, NDTV reported. With the top-end processor included in the device, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM will come bundled along with dual 16 MP cameras on the back.

It will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, and may arrive in several storage variants such as 64GB, 128GB and 256GB with RAM expected to be up to 8GB. What is certain is that any Xiaomi smartphone launched in 2018 will run MIUI 9 and not an older version.

The Xiaomi Mi7 could also be the first phone from the company to sport wireless charging and is rocking a near bezel-less design. Also, the display aspect ratio is expected to be 19:5:9 and not the traditional 18:9 aspect ratio.
