Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Wireless Charging

However, previous rumors have suggested that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will feature a Snapdragon 635 chipset. Interestingly, Xiaomi will be introducing wireless charging in the Mi Max lineup with the Mi Max 3 smartphone. According to a report by XDA-Developers, the leaked firmware files of the Mi Max3 has revealed some important features of the smartphone. That being said, the leaked firmware does confirm that the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel the Mi Max 3, though there may be a more affordable variant with the Snapdragon 630, but that variant's firmware info did not surface, so the source is unable to confirm it. The company's Mi Max smartphones have been quite popular among the consumers who don't want to skimp on the battery and prefer phones that can last more than "just a day". The firmware files also revealed what sensors Xiaomi plans to use for its device. As per the firmware teardown, the Mi Max 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, along with 6GB of RAM. But these firmware files obtained by XDA Developers do not confirm the size of the display.

Xiaomi started this year with the launch of Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India.

XDA reports that within the MIUI Keyguard APK, it discovered strings related to wireless charging and strings that tell whether charging has stopped and if yes, whether it is because of the device's position from the base of the charger. However given that the Mi Max 2 was unveiled in May, 2017, we can expect Max 3 to arrive around the same time. The fingerprint scanner will present at the back of the phone itself, and there are chances of Xiaomi opting for IRIS scanning technology for the Mi Max 3. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will sport either Sony's IMX363 sensor on the back, or a combination of Samsung's S5K217 and S5K5E8 sensors. On the front, a single camera sensor is expected, accompanied by an iris scanner from Omnivision. Other features of the smartphone include IR Blaster, dual SIM support, 5500mAh battery with fast charging support and stereo speakers like the Mi Max 2. There is also a help video or graphic made by Xiaomi that shows the user how to place their device right on the wireless charger. The mid-range Mi Max 2 phablet is likely to be officially announced sometime in the second quarter of 2018.
