The compelling biographical portrait of Arunachalam Muruganantham is a pure visual delight. The movie starts with giving honour to Amitabh Bachchan. But I would still recommend the movie for its frank discussion on what is regarded as a taboo subject in many parts of our country, told in a very conventional (too conventional, I must say) manner.

His speech at the United Nations stage in broken English is one of our favourite scenes and it is easy to fall in love with this passionate man's simplicity. He is joined by critically acclaimed actresses Sonam Kapoor (Neerja) and Radhika Apte (Kabali). It is certainly one of the best in his career so far. Film buff Ameet Mohanty said the movie is based on the character of Akshay Kumar who dominates the whole scenario and overshadows other characters Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. He is the one who introduces a simple mechanism machine which could produce cheap and good quality sanitary pads. When Akshay Kumar made a decision to collaborate with KriArj Entertainment, a new entrant in the business, not many fathomed that this was an association for the keeps.
