Moto G6 Play appears on Geekbench

Motorola is expected to take the wraps off the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus at a dedicated event at MWC 2018 in Barcelona on February 25 - leading many to believe that they'll hit the shelves in major markets sometime in March.

Based on the photo above, the Moto G6 Plus is going to be sold in a wide variety of color variants namely cyan, gold, silver, blue, and white. Also, the company announced the comeback smartphone in the Moto X series which was once the flagship series from the company and the latest smartphone in the Moto X series is the Moto X4. The Geekbench's listing reveals a set of key specifications of this unannounced Moto G6 Play smartphone. The smartphone appears to feature the same metal and glass combination. There could be two variants of the Moto G6 with different storage and RAM capacities. The bottom one houses a home button pulling double duty as a fingerprint scanner, good news for anyone who prefers physical buttons up front.

Powering the G6 Plus would be a Snapdragon 630 64-bit octa-core processor, while power juice would flow in from a 3,250mAh non-removable battery. Based on all the data so far, the smartphone in question should feature a large, circular dual-camera module on the back panel and make the jump to the 18:9 form factor with an elongated screen.

It is pegged to feature a selfie camera of 16-megapixel whereas the dual camera setup is rumored to include a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor.

Folks at Android Headlines are of the opinion that the device, when it finally arrives would sport dual-camera on the back and that the snappers will be accompanied by a dual-LED flash that would find its slot just below the cams. Up front, there will be a 16MP snapper for capturing selfies.
