Mickey: Clouds increasing today, rain likely this weekend

KILDARE WEATHER UPDATE: Showery day ahead today

Clouds return Friday with a slight chance for rain. Rain chances increase Saturday afternoon and stay with us at least into the first half of Sunday. We'll wake up to temperatures in the single digits and low teens. The mid 30s are in store on Wednesday with partly cloudy skies.

TUESDAY: Rain showers will develop, with a milder high temperature of 53 degrees.

Spotty showers and mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast for most of our next workweek.

NEXT WEEK: Temperatures on the whole remain above average for this time of year into next week, with Monday being the only day in which our high temperature will be below 60°. A coating to an inch of snow is possible from Concord south through Saturday AM, with 1-3 inches of snow likely elsewhere through Saturday PM. Temperatures however will be into the lower 40's. Slight, scattered wintry mix chances last into Saturday morning.

Sunshine sticks around Friday with highs in the mid to upper 50s, but clouds quickly increase during the evening.

However, the showers look set to turn back to rain later in the day.

The biggest impact this weekend will be the periodic heavy rain. Another wave of rain will move through the Tennessee Valley on Sunday.
