Jurgen Klopp unsure about Simon Mignolet Liverpool future

Loris Karius has taken the undisputed No 1 position from Mignolet in recent weeks

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to dismiss the possibility of Simon Mignolet leaving in the summer but does not see the Belgium international's future as something that should concern him for the time being.

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius knows that new signing Virgil van Dijk is a player of high quality but insists that the Dutch global will need to adapt to the high-line game of the Reds.

There was a switch at the turn of the year, when Karius played in the league and Mignolet had the two FA Cup ties against Everton and West Brom but there will not be a switch in Portugal.

'My confidence is coming and growing, I'm getting used to the game time again.

Loris Karius seems to have established himself as the Reds' No.1 in recent weeks, and earned plaudits for his performance in Sunday's 2-0 win over Southampton. I have to make a decision for tomorrow night and that's all.

His form does not bode well for Mignolet, and Karius is likely benefiting from playing more regularly than he was before, particularly now he has a stronger defensive unit in front of him thanks to the arrival of Virgil van Dijk. "That's important for the team".

"Of course he has to adapt a bit because our style is so different".

"Individually, Virgil is a top player".

They profit from our style of play as well.

Klopp has suggested he has now abandoned his rotation policy in favour of Karius, who is expected to start when Liverpool travel to face Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday.

"Having the second game at home can be a real advantage for us", Karius said.
