Arguably football's most exciting prodigy reveals interest in joining Chelsea

Father of Ajax star urges son to snub Man Utd, Barcelona interest

'If you get a nice offer, you never know, ' he told Helden.

The 18-year-old has been catching the eye with some impressive performances at Ajax in recent months and he has been touted as a possible target for Manchester United this year. "Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea or Manchester United are nice clubs where I can see myself playing in a few years' time".

Former Holland striker Patrick Kluivert says his highly-rated son Justin should stay at Ajax for at least a year.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was pictured talking to Kluivert after the Red Devils' 2-0 win over Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm last May.

"[However] if my agent tells me I have the opportunity, I am the one who makes the decisions and my father doesn't interfere, as he knows it isn't what I want".

'Everywhere I go overseas they know my father, he often asks: "Come to Barcelona, I'll give a tour of Camp Nou".

And his father, Patrick, is keen to see his son develop further at Ajax before taking the leap to another top club in Europe.

'I really wanted to go to Barcelona instead of Real Madrid.

"Justin is doing very well, and must keep going like this", Kluivert told El Larguero.

"When you go to another country, another competition, you must be strong mentally and physically, you should not leave too early".

"It is hard to say no to Barca, but also to other big teams, the most important is to choose a team which suits his style of team, not the team which pays more money".

"He should choose the team that responds most to his play and not to the one that pays him more money".

"I see him more in the Spanish league", Kluivert Sr said.
