The final announcement of the Mini Direct, and probably the largest, is the confirmation of the rumored Dark Souls coming to Nintendo Switch.

With the release of video streaming services like NicoNico in Japan and Hulu in the west, the Switch officially became more than just a gaming device.

Additional content for Pokkén Tournament DX, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Super Mario Odyssey was also revealed.

Following rumors that almost broke the internet over the past few days, Nintendo posted a 15 minute-long video focusing on Q1 2018 on the Switch.

Starting in February, a bunch of already-great Nintendo Switch games are getting new stuff. This time, there's a story mode complete with missions and boss battles.

The previously announced Kirby title will be the adorable pink dude's first game for Nintendo Switch. The first of the two updates hits the Switch on January 31st.

"Mario steps onto the court in classy tennis garb for intense rallies against a variety of characters in full-blown tennis battles". Wave 2 will have Blastoise as a playable character and Support Pokémon Mew and Celebi. The game launches for Nintendo Switch on March 16. Additionally, the game includes new outfits for Link and Zelda based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Mario Tennis Aces gameplay - What's new? It's a hide-and-seek situation, where you can spend your time either hiding or finding balloons across the many ridiculous worlds of "Super Mario Odyssey". A new mode was announced featuring Luigi called Balloon World. FE will release on the 16th of February. Celeste the pixel platformer will also be coming to the Switch. Anyway, you won't have long to wait as Mario Tennis Aces will release sometime in the next three months or so. Debuting in the Nintendo Switch version of the game, a new playable character named Joy will be introduced.

According to Kotaku, Dark Souls Remastered will be announced during today's Nintendo Direct. Like previous games in the franchise, "Tropical Freeze" puts Donkey Kong and the rest of his family through a perilous adventure across dozens of gorgeous, brilliantly crafted 2D levels. As well as returning characters Funky Kong will also be joining with added abilities like infinite rolls, infinite corkscrews underwater, and a double jump. It looks as though as he's being implemented to make the game easier for those not ready to white knuckle it.

After releasing on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One, this co-operative multiplayer shooter graces the Nintendo Switch. It's scheduled for release on May 25th. But bringing From Software's title over is a big 3rd party get for the system.
