Video shows West Virginia player allegedly punching Tech fan

Texas Tech Red Raiders guard Niem Stevenson looks for an opening against West Virginia Mountaineers Jevon Carter in the first half at United Supermarkets Arena

The loss, which dropped West Virginia to 15-2 on the season, was the program's first since it suffered a season-opening defeat November 10 against Texas A&M.

The Mountaineers were riding the nation's longest winning streak at 15 games, and receiving the highest AP ranking for their program in 60 years.

West Virginia will look to keep this mini-run going on Saturday, as they face a TCU (11-5, 2-3 Big 12) squad they knocked out on the road 87-82 to start their Big 12 schedule back on December 28. Esa Ahmad added 18 in his season debut after an NCAA academic suspension.

A video of the court storming recorded by a fan in the upper deck of the arena appeared to show a West Virginia player throwing a punch at a fan passing by, prompting his teammates to restrain him near the Mountaineers bench.

The Red Raiders will savor this moment, even if the rough-and-tumble Big 12 season is just getting started.

The second half would see a memorable display of back-and-forth action between the two teams. Two of the three in school history were this week, starting with a 75-65 loss to No. 9 Oklahoma on Tuesday. The Wolverines (15-4, 4-2 Big Ten) have won eight of nine games overall and two straight against their rivals.

Senior guard Keenan Evans poured in 20 points and five rebounds in the win. The Wildcats are 16-1 and 4-1.

Landry Shamet and backcourt mate Conner Frankamp each scored 16 points and Wichita State held off Tulsa.

Marvin Bagley III had 30 points and 11 rebounds for Duke, which was without Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski due to a virus. Brady Manek added 22 points for the Sooners (14-2, 4-1 Big 12).

"Senior guard Justin Gray (6'6" 210-lbs) averages 5.6 points per game and 3.6 rebounds. He averages 17 points per game and shoots 48% from downtown.

No. 19 Clemson 72, No. 18 Miami 63: Donte Grantham had 18 points for Clemson (15-2, 4-1 ACC).

No. 20 North Carolina 69, Notre Dame 68: Joel Berry II, who had 15 points, hit two free throws with 7.1 seconds left for North Carolina. Christ Koumadje had a career-high 23 points and Phil Cofer added 16 points for No. 23 Florida State (13-4, 2-3 ACC) in a 101-90 victory over Syracuse (12-6, 1-4) in Tallahassee, Fla.

Shannon Evans scored seven of his 22 points in a late 10-0 run for Arizona State.

Allonzo Trier scored 25 points and Deandre Ayton added 24 for Arizona.

Tennessee 75, Texas A&M 62: Jordan Bowden scored 15 points and No. 24 Tennessee handed Texas A&M its fifth consecutive loss.

They were the last team with a ideal Big 12 record.

Trae Young scored 29 of his 43 points after halftime for Oklahoma, which won in overtime. King finished one point short of his career high while grabbing 10 rebounds. "That's what everybody does, because that's how you can get to the free-throw line".

Once again, missed free throws by the Mountaineers contributed to the two overtime periods.

Culver is third, averaging 10.3 points with a team-high-tying 23 3s.
