West Michigan native Perry Paganelli will be part of referee Gene Steratore's seven-man crew that will work Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots.

Before the Eagles board their flight to Minneapolis, this week will be as normal as Pederson can make it where the focus will be on installing the game-plan and getting his team as prepared as possible for the distractions and experience that lay ahead during Super Bowl week.

The Patriots will be competing in their eighth Super Bowl of the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady era, and they are going for their sixth Super Bowl title.

In the AFC, former FSU stars Jalen Ramsey and Telvin Smith helped Jacksonville to a 10-point, fourth-quarter lead, but the Jaguars couldn't hang on in an eventual 24-20 defeat at New England. He is trying to become the first backup quarterback to win a Super Bowl since Brady did it in the 2001 season.

The NFL's top-ranked defense in the regular season had no answer for Eagles quarterback Nick Foles who shredded the Vikings' secondary by completing 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns.

In response, some of the players wore dog masks after their win against Atlanta, inspiring fans to get their own.

The defending champion Patriots (13-3) will go for their second straight title and third in four years against the Eagles (13-3), who are making their first appearance in the big game since 2005 (more on that below). The exhilarating thing about the Super Bowl is that - if you're so inclined - you can bet on nearly anything. Brady won the award past year after erasing a 28-3 deficit against the Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles have not given up many yards after the catch or yards after contact in the run game.

"You know everyone was against us", Foles said.

The crew has 127 years of National Football League officiating experience and 101 combined playoff game assignments.

All Brady did on Sunday was lead the Patriots back from a 20-10 deficit in the fourth quarter, even though he seemed to have the odds stacked against him. I think it's a horrendous matchup for New England, I do. Just two years after inheriting a broken locker room, he has fixed that and has his team one win away from a Super Bowl championship. Just to be on a team that wins these kinds of games, it's just a great accomplishment.
