Sanchez wage claim, Mourinho wants Man City target, Moyes eyes Fellaini move

What was believed to be a question of when Sanchez reunited with Pep Guardiola is now a case of "if" after Manchester United lodged a £25m bid with Arsenal.

"I think it's a good investment because we are talking about a top player and I'm hearing that the amount is around £20m".

Arsenal are fully aware that replacing a player of Sanchez's calibre is no easy feat, especially considering his importance to the club.

"In the big clubs you have a choice: you reduce the number of players and you increase the wages, trying to fight with the massive clubs", Wenger said.

Sanchez's family have arrived in London as talks of an Arsenal exit grows.

However, it has been reported that the Citizens are not willing to spend more than 20 million euros for Sanchez, giving Man United a free pass to sign the player.

Sane has established himself at City, with the 22-year-old's nine-goal haul this season matching his tally from the entirety of the last campaign.

"I said hello, he is a great player and he knows in my first season in Juventus we tried to buy him from Udinese and he made a decision to go to Barcelona", Conte said, ahead of his side's Premier League meeting with Leicester City.

Sanchez has always been a target for City and they offered £60 million (A$104 million) for the 29-year-old, without success, last summer.

The Chilean looks set to miss out on his desired move to rivals Manchester City after they admitted defeat in the race for the player.

Ozil, who could miss Arsenal's Premier League clash at Bournemouth on Sunday with a knee complaint, has just six months to run on his current deal.

"Every player has a price, no one is untouchable, and when the transfer window is open it is open for any club who is interested in any of our players", he said. City have a very comfortable advantage and they can sit on that; it is the sort of lead that gives a lot of tranquillity and takes away the pressure from the guy that comes behind you.

Playing with Raheem Sterling on the wings either side of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, Sane has been in devastating form this season. It's why if a lucrative offer from a major club does come in, few would blame him for embarking on a new challenge.

"There is still an opportunity for (Mesut Ozil) to stay", said Wenger at his weekly news conference.
