Leigh Corfman, who accused former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual misconduct, is suing him for defamation.

In the next weeks, different other ladies approached to blame Moore for sexual offense, including one lady who claimed Moore sexually ambushed her when she was 16. Mr. Moore knew or should have known that Ms. Corfman's account is truthful because he was the perpetrator in the events she described.

In a statement to AL.com, she said she is suing because Moore and his campaign called her a "liar and immoral", and ignored her requests to cease his attacks. I, I've never talked to her, never had any contact with her. Allegations of sexual misconduct with her are completely false. I believe they're brought only to stop a very successful campaign, and that's what they're doing.

The lawsuit then goes on to list more than half-a-dozen more instances of Moore denying the allegations and claiming Corfman's claims were politically motivated. She also cites campaign speeches made in Vestavia Hills and Huntsville.

She is asking for a declaratory judgment of defamation, a public apology from Moore, and a court-enforced ban on him or his campaign publicly attacking her again.

The 29-page lawsuit seeks for the defendants to retract all defamatory statements made against Corfman, to publicly apologize for those statements and to refrain from further defamatory statements as well as to pay the costs and expenses of the lawsuit. She also seeks "further relief" which isn't clarified with any dollar amount. "It took me quite a few years to take God seriously". That's something that even Breitbart's writers admitted both before and after the election. News outlets including the Jewish Forward and the Washington Examiner have said that the candidate's wife was referring to Richard Jaffe, a Jewish lawyer who represented the couple's son, Caleb Moore, when he was charged with drug possession several years ago. It's hard to see how all of this could be fabricated apart from a genuine conspiracy theory.
