Nintendo: Expect More Nintendo Switch Titles From EA

This week, anticipation reached its peak after Nintendo laced its Twitter feed with cryptic, messages. It has since been released on the PS4 and the Xbox One and is now making it's way to Nintendo's hybrid console.

EA has mostly abandoned the Switch with the exception of this game, and it appears to be an exceptional game from them. Nintendo is going to need something to sell players on its paid online service, and what better way to do that than by bringing Super Mario Maker over from the Wii U?

Additionally, Mario Tennis Aces is getting a Story Mode - the first in the series since Mario Tennis: Power Tour for Gameboy Advance. This would be an excellent digital-only port for the Switch that could nicely fill a gap in its release schedule.

Nintendo announced that both "Hyrule Warriors" and "Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze" will be heading to the Nintendo Switch this year. The ability to play as Funky Kong. It was first released for the Wii U in 2014, and the player's main objective in the game is to guide the titular protagonist and his friends in defeating the enemies called Snowmads.

Donkey Kong is heading to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is heading to Mario + Rabbids as a playable character, complete with a new storyline and world. It features Mario's frequently ignored brother Luigi, who hosts Balloon World. We haven't seen any gameplay yet, but it looks like Kong wields not a gun, but a banana boomerang.

Kirby Star Allies will show off new copy abilities like the artist ability and spider ability.

There's no specific launch date outside of "2018". The best thing about Nintendo Switch is that it can be used as a home console and also as a handheld console, so expectations from a new Fire Emblem game are obviously high. Set in modern-day Japan, the game will include a "sizable new scenario that gets right to the heart of the story" along with HD visuals, a new epilogue, and Joy-Con controls. All maps, heroes, and DLC will be made available; we're talking content from both the DS and Wii U version, with a total of 29 characters. Look for it later this Spring.

It's a ladies-only affair with SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. They were nearly always faster and more agile - and universally less ridiculous looking. The base game will soon be available for the Switch along with its downloadable content "Artorias of the Abyss". ACA NeoGeo Art of Fighting 2 hits the eShop today.

Ulterius introduced Rainway back in March 2017, saying "Rainway's signature feature is that it's available on any device with a web browser".

The Nintendo Direct also had a bit of love for indie developers, as two titles were showcased in the form of Fe and Celeste.

Payday 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that lets players don the masks of the original Payday crew - Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington D.C. for an epic crime spree.
