Meizu M6S

Well, this leaked pamphlet clearly says that a side-facing fingerprint scanner is coming, and we won't know for sure until the company announces the phone tomorrow, but chances are that we are looking at a side-facing unit here, as Synaptics said that it started manufacturing in-display fingerprint scanners for the world's top 5 smartphone manufacturers a while back, and Meizu is still not there. You have a 18:9 display, a good mid-range chipset, fingerprint ID and a decent battery, making it a well balanced smartphone. The two storage variants launched in China will be made available in Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Moon Silver, and Cobalt Blue colour variants.

The handset will come with a 5.7 inch display with a HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and the device will a hexa core processor and 3GB of RAM.

The company has also introduced the "Super mback" circular on-screen button and got rid of the "mback" physical home button. Meizu claims it is the first-ever device to come with the 14nm Samsung Exynos 7872 SoC.

Meizu M6s has a 3GB RAM and 32GB and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

As for the optics, the M6S comes equipped with a 16MP Samsung CMOS sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and HDR support coupled with LED flash.

The phone has a side mounted fingerprint sensor, that the company says will feel natural in day to day operations. The battery will be of 3000mAh with 18W fast charging that charges up to 52% in just 30 minutes. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat wrapped under Flyme OS 6.2. This new FlymeOS experience offers game frame stability increase by 20% and provides Full-Screen UI to the users. The variant of the phone with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage will retail for CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 9,921) in China, whereas the higher-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is priced at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs.11,907).

The Meizu M6S will go on sale starting January 19.

What's the most interesting part of the Meizu M6S is the Super mBack feature. The phone features a dedicated pressure sensor chip and linear vibration motor (in the circle), allowing you to control your phone with simple gestures.

Meizu includes its Beauty Mode with the cameras.
