Legendary Karolyi Ranch pays a price in gymnastics sexual abuse charges

Olympic duo Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber confronted disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar as the hearing against him continued in MI.

Glaring at the former team doctor as she read a 15-minute statement during a fourth day of hearings in the Lansing, Michigan courtroom, Raisman defiantly told Nassar that his victims were no longer isolated and weak. Also at the hearing, Raisman embraced Olympic teammate Jordyn Wieber, who revealed for the first time that Nassar abused her as well.

Raisman finished her impact statement to applause from fellow victims and other attendees in the MI courtroom.

"Larry, you do realize now that we, this group of women you so heartlessly abused over so long a period of time, are now a force and you are nothing?"

"The tables have turned, Larry", Raisman said. ― Reuters picCHICAGO, Jan 20 ― Gymnastics star Aly Raisman yesterday faced down disgraced national team doctor Larry Nassar in court, calling him "sick" and demanding an independent probe to find out how he was apparently able to abuse young girls for years with impunity.

Raisman belittled Nassar, who she said sexually assaulted her, and chastised USA Gymnastics as an organization "rotting from the inside".

Numerous victims over the past four days have criticised USA Gymnastics, MSU and the US Olympic Committee for not stopping Nassar sooner. Nassar has already been sentenced to 60 years in federal prison for child pornography.

In a response Friday, Perry referred Fox59 back to her statement from December 1, 2017, where she said in part, "I will not waiver on my commitment to remain focused each and every day on our organization's highest priority - the safety, health and well-being of our athletes and creating a culture that empowers and supports them".

"But even though I'm a victim, I do not and will not live my life as one", Wieber said.

"Imagine feeling like you have no power and no voice", she said. The US Olympic Committee is accountable. "Survivors are here, standing tall, and we are not going anywhere". "You never healed me".

"But in fact, the hardest thing I ever had to do was process that I was a victim of Larry Nassar".

Raisman's courage was hailed both by the judge who is hearing the case and by her longtime Bay State fans.

"Continuing to release statements of empty promises thinking that will pacify us will no longer work", Raisman said. Among them today was Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman. "I am also here to tell you to your face, Larry, that you have not taken gymnastics away from me".

Nasser treated Olympians like Raisman and Wieber for U.S. gymnastics. Many, including McKayla, have said Nassar abused them under the guise of medical treatment.

"I applaud Aly and all the girls who came forward", said Kormann, who was head coach for the United States of America men's team from 1996-2001. She even paused, adding impact to the emotionally loaded moment. CNN reporters in the courtroom reported Nassar did not once made eye contact with the more than 70 women who have testified against him.

Since September 2016, 125 women have filed complaints to police against Nassar alleging sexual abuse and more than 150 have filed civil suits.
