Jack White Announces New Album 'Boarding House Reach', Drops Two New Songs

Hear Two New Jack White Songs, 'Connected by Love' and 'Respect Commander'

Jack's new album will be entitled Boarding House Reach.

Boarding House Reach will be White's third proper solo album, and will be released at some point in the next few months. Sources have argued that the best way to describe the iconic single is if you were to remove the synth and replace it with piano chords, it wouldn't sound much different from The White Stripes song, "I'm Lonely (But I Aint That Lonely Yet)".

As White told Rolling Stone, the song was written in his Nashville apartment.

The first track, "Connected By Love", features White's introspective side along with a bombastic chorus, gospel-tinged backup vocals from The McCrary Sisters' Ann and Regina McCrary and a keyboard-versus-guitar solo-trading section with Soulive/Lettuce keyboardist Neal Evans. But this same, potentially devastating event, reminds every one of the ties that bind.

White has also announced three United States festival headline performances: Shaky Knees in Atlanta (May 4-6), Boston Calling 2018 (May 25-27), and Governor's Ball in New York (June 1-3).

Today, White dropped the lead single off the new album, "Connected By Love" and its subsequent music video directed by Pasqual Gutierrez, as well as a second track called "Respect Commander".

A companion track is entitled "Respect Commander".
