How to Watch Barcelona vs. Alaves

Barcelona come from behind to record a 2-1 win over Alaves in Sunday night's entertaining La Liga clash at Camp Nou.

The Brazil worldwide was duly named in Ernesto Valverde's first XI to face Alaves, in one of five changes to the Barca side.

Ivan Rakitic, Paulinho and Andres Iniesta accompany the playmaker in the middle of the pitch, with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez starting up front.

The hosts enjoyed the lion's share of the possession, but Abelardo's men caused them numerous problems on the break.

The Catalan giants managed to carve out a couple openings in the first 15 minutes with Lucas Digne and Lionel Messi going close.

Barca almost leveled matters in the 43rd minute when Messi's free-kick was turned onto the upright by Pacheco.

Ter Stegen had to be at his best moments later to prevent Barcelona falling even further behind as he dived to tip Ruben Sobrino's header away.

Ruben Duarte then got in the way of Philippe Coutinho's strike to deflect it wide of the right post after the Brazilian latched onto a misplaced pass, before Pacheco had to punch away Messi's free-kick from the right on 35 minutes.

Alaves nearly took a two-goal lead in the 62nd minute when Gomez found Ruben Duarte inside the Barcelona box, but the full-back saw his goal-bound effort blocked over by Gerard Pique.

Pacheco came to the rescue again in the 68th minute as he stopped Suarez from converting Messi's through-ball, and the gloveman was alert to the danger two minutes later to keep out Paulinho before the ball was cleared off the line.

The win restores Barca's 11-point lead at the top of La Liga, while Alaves remain a place outside the bottom three.

Coutinho was withdrawn for Alcacer with 25 minutes go having failed to spark Barca into life, and minutes later Suarez levelled, getting on the end of Iniesta's hanging cross to volley past Pacheo.
