Honor 8 Not to Receive The Android 8.0 Oreo Update

A few days ago, it was reported that the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Xiaomi Mi A1 was suspended. Now, it seems that even the most entry-level phones like the Nokia 2, which is very elementary when compared to the Honor 8. Given the negative feedback received, Xiaomi pulled the update last week and promised to resume the roll-out after it patches the issues. However, when an Honor 8 user enquired about Android 8.0 Oreo's arrival, she was told that the company won't be releasing the Oreo update for it.

It is being rumoured that HMD Global may introduce the Nokia 7 in India later this month.

In addition to Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7, the company also announced the availability of Android 8.0 Oreo for the Nokia 6 handset launched in 2017. The January Security update brings fixes for Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities.

After the Oreo update, the smartphones will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. The Finnish OEM confirmed the update via Weibo, noting that the upgrade will offer a smoother experience, gesture controls, as well as all the rest of the bonus features we've come to expect from Oreo, and the January Android security patches. Both the smartphones feature a 6.0-inch Quad HD+ OLED FullVision display with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device packs a 3,000mAh battery.
