White House doctor Dr. Ronny Jackson addressed the press on Tuesday to follow up on the report that President Trump is in "excellent" health.

Jackson said the president sleeps only four to five hours a night but rarely sees the president overly stressed. Trump nevertheless insisted on taking one.

Trump had his first physical last Friday. "We have conversations about many things, most don't revolve around medical issues at all".

"I've got to know him pretty well".

Jackson told reporters during a press briefing that the cognitive exams were conducted at Trump's request and that he had no concerns over the president's mental abilities. He even took to Twitter to brand himself a "very stable genius" and call himself "like, really smart".

Jackson said Trump had a flawless score on the test. The Montreal exam is well respected and universally accepted, the doctor added. Any score of 26 or above on the ten-minute, 30-point exam is considered normal.

"The president's overall health is excellent".

I think that the previous statements made about President Trump being one of the healthiest presidents who has served our country are certainly true - and we now have the evidence to back them up.

"The goal of this exam was to provide the public with an update of the President's current health status and to ensure the President continues to enjoy all the benefits of good health", Jackson said.

Mr Jackson reported that the 6ft 3in President weighed 239lb (just over 17st or 108kg), three pounds heavier than he was in September 2016, the last time he revealed his weight to the public.

"Jackson confirmed that Trump weighs 239 pounds and is 75 inches (6'3") in height, giving him a BMI of 30.3 according to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. Trump has full motion in all joints.

The president has a history of elevated cholesterol and takes 10 milligrams of Crestor, a prescription medicine that helps lower LDL cholesterol, daily.

Trump, according to Jackson scored 30/30 in the test, which, Jackson said he had never administered on any president he attended to over the years.

He described the cognitive assessment he gave Trump as "one of the ones that was a little bit more involved, it was longer, it was the more hard one of all of them".
