Dark Souls Remastered speculation ramps up after another potential leak

Dark Souls Remastered

Confirmation of Dark Souls Remastered for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions came from a tweet from Bandai Namco. The game is titled Dark Souls: Remastered and will release for all major platforms. PS 4 Pro and Xbox One X will play Dark Souls Remastered at upscaled 4k 60 FPS on PC you can choose. Hidden in the world of DARK SOULS: REMASTERED are nine online covenants to uncover that will motivate your online interactions.

Today is a very good day for Dark Soul fans.

Dark Souls rewards and encourages obsession, and it's had plenty of super expensive merchandise before now.

Update: Sadly, we don't know anything else about From Software's "New Project" just yet, but in other exciting news, it's been announced that its classic 2011 RPG Dark Souls is being remastered for Nintendo Switch. So, if you don't own one, then you might have to give this purchase a pass. The company is known for creating and publishing numerous industry's top video game franchises, including PAC-MAN™, TEKKEN™, SOULCALIBUR™, DARK SOULS™, NARUTO™, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN™, Dragon Ball, GALAGA™, RIDGE RACER™ and ACE COMBAT™. PC versions of the game will feature native 4K, all textures 2K unconverted with 60 fps. I am concerned about the Switch release, as I can imagine many a broken console for newcomers.

Because Dark Souls is generally meant to be enjoyed as a home console experience, all of these factors contribute to painting a less than ideal picture of the Switch port. I'll hold this thought for now. Online multiplayer for Dark Souls: Remastered will feature an increase with support for up to six players. In handheld mode, it will be 720p and 30 fps.

A Super Smash Bros port would also make sense, alongside new information about Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Switch and more.
