Alec Baldwin Describes Renunciation Of Woody Allen As 'Unfair And Sad'

Allen's daughter, Dylan Farrow, accused him in 1992 of molesting her when she was 7 years old.

In the wake of the Time's Up and #MeToo movements, Farrow will sit down with "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King to discuss her allegations against Allen. On Monday, Timothee Chalamet followed suit, with Greta Gerwig, who worked with Allen in 2012, expressing remorse over working with him last week.

Hall, who also starred in Allen's 2008 film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, said she had been affected by public statements made by Dylan Farrow regarding Allen.

Chalamet said that, owing to "contractual obligations", he had been unable to answer questions posed by reporters and critics on the subject. It's important that people realise that one victim, one accuser, matters. For 25 years, Farrow has insisted Allen sexually assaulted her when she was a child.

The Golden Globes nominated actor is donating his salary due to current scenario around Woody Allen.

"This year has changed the way I see and feel about so many things; it has been a thrilling and, at times, enlightening education".

Dylan's interview comes after Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Hall, who both star in the director's upcoming film A Rainy Day in NY, publicly announced their intention to donate their salaries from the movie to the Time's Up movement, which helps victims of abuse and harassment seek justice, while Timothee has also split his between two other charities as well.

"Actors Rebecca Hall and Timothée Chalamet, who star in the upcoming Woody Allen film ", announced in Instagram posts within days of each other that they'll donate their salaries from the film to support efforts against sexual assault.

But Baldwin, who has appeared in multiple Woody Allen films, is defending the filmmaker on Twitter. "The renunciation of (Allen) and his work, no doubt, has some objective", he wrote. "But it's unfair and sad to me", the actor wrote.

Allen has never been charged with a crime in relation to his adopted daughter's claims, which have been supported by her mother, Woody's ex Mia Farrow, and her brother, newsman Ronan Farrow. "I had a long talk with her about not working with him and it didn't click". I regret this decision and wouldn't make the same one today.
