The Voice top 8: Will Brooke Simpson or Chloe Kohanski make finale?

Chloe Kohanski and Noah Mac duet

Following the December 12 results show, "The Voice" is now down to just four artists hoping to win season 13.

The final spot came down to the "Instant Save". Sigh. Going into this recap of Tuesday's quadruple-elimination results show - what I have dubbed the "Red Chair Wedding" - I knew there would be some tough goodbyes. He's been working on a new single for the last few months, and we'll get to hear it during next week's finale!

Addison Agen from Team Adam is also predicted to win the competition.

Next, we get another break from the intensity of results with a performance from coach Jennifer Hudson, who sings a gorgeous rendition of her emotional new song "Burden Down". Take, for example, the current favorite Chloe Kohanski - sure, she's got the support of Blake Shelton (really the best coach you can possibly have), but she also has a deep, gravely voice that you don't often get with female artists on the show.

Before finding out who will sing for the Instant Save, we get to see a stunning performance from The Voice: Neon Dreams cast. There will be a nasty and drastic cut this week, so this is the time for the singers to really show what makes them shine individually.

Team Blake's Keisha Renee and Team JHud's Davon Fleming were in the bottom two and were therefore eliminated automatically. Team Blake's Red Marlow, Team Adam's Adam Cunningham and Team Jennifer's Noah Mac - the week's middle-three vote-getters - each performed for a final chance at the finale. Red and Adam's song choices (Alabama's "Dixieland Delight" and Travis Tritt's "Here's a Quarter, Call Someone Who Cares", respectively) were shuffling, midtempo throwaways, but Noah went for broke with Harry Styles's epic Bowie-esque ballad "Sign of the Times", managing to pull off the tricky vocal even with his low range. Lastly, Noah hits the stage with an incredible performance of "Sign of the Times" by Harry Styles that has the crowd going insane.

"It would mean a lot to move on to the finale".
