Shaun Livingston Suspended 1 Game for Physical Contact with Official

NBA League Pass

The NBA official, Courtney Kirkland, will also be suspended for one week without pay. Kirkland stepped towards Livingston leading to the two making contact and the National Basketball Association has determined that is worthy of a suspension as well.

NBA Referee Courtney Kirkland and Shaun Livingston have both been disciplined by the league after an altercation between the two on Sunday.

Livingston and Kirkland bumped heads during the second quarter of the Warriors' victory at Miami. After getting tossed from the game, Livingston untucked his white jersey as he walked off the court.

During the incident, the National Basketball Association says Livingston and Kirkland bumped heads. We felt like he should have got two shots after that shot he took.

The Warriors were already missing reserve shooting guard Andre Iguodala, who was sitting out for rest purposes, so Livingston's ejection limits the team to four guards for the rest of the game. Livingston's only other ejection came in Game 4 of the 2016 Western Conference semifinals in Portland, after receiving his second technical foul for complaining to referee Scott Foster.

Livingston has averaged 11.0 FanDuel points in 15.2 minutes per game this season.
