Ranveer turns quirky policeman for upcoming film 'Simmba'

The film is titled as Simmba and is produced by Karan Johar under his production banner Dharma Productions. "Watch this space...." Now on Thursday morning, we were treated with a quirky Ranveer Singh in his insane avatar donning a big moustache and the uniform of a policeman.

He further added, "This will be the first time people will see Ranveer performing so many action sequences".

KJo released the first look poster of the movie on Thursday morning and announced that the film will be releasing on December 28, 2018. Clad in a cop's uniform, with a handlebar moustache, shades and a quirky expression, Ranveer looks every bit a policeman, but in his own unique style. Rohit Shetty is known for making massy entertaining films and Simbaa looks like an addition to his big list. His Instagram post read, "SANGRAM BHALERAO aka #Simmba!" He has great energy and after working with him in a commercial, even I believe so.

Well, on the other hand, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's film Kedarnath is all set to hit the screens on the same Christmas day weekend with SRK's film. Top director Rohit Shetty will direct the movie and the regular shoot will kick-start soon.

Simmba is a remake of the 2015 Telugu action film, Temper.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is busy shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy opposite Alia Bhatt and will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati alongside Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
