Pro wrestler Rich Swann arrested in Gainesville

The alleged incident was against Swann's wife, Vannarah Riggs, who performs as Su Yung on the independent wrestling scene. Swann then grabbed her, placing her in a headlock, and dragged her back to the auto, according to the report. Apparently Swann has a history of a temper and getting physical, as Riggs told police she feared the altercation would get physical and exited the vehicle.

The victim noted in her report that Swann has a history of anger issues and that out of fear the argument would turn physical jumped out of the vehicle.

A second witness claimed that after Swann exited his vehicle, he failed to put it in park, leaving the auto to lurch forward, where it struck a telephone pole on the corner of East University Avenue and Northeast 15th Street.

Witnesses told police they saw Swann put the woman in a headlock while dragging her as she was screaming for help. The Vic told the Def she did not want to get back in the vehicle as she continued to walk away.

Swann claimed that he only wanted to return home and that they were using the Global Positioning System that was on Yung's phone and he "needed her to come with it".

If Swann is charged, he could receive up to five years in prison.
