The Greenville Police Department responded to two armed robberies on Thursday.

The suspect fled on foot towards Plaza Drive with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Greenville police said a man accused of pulling a knife on a worker inside the Bi-Lo at the intersection of Mauldin Road and South Pleasantburg Drive was arrested at a nearby motel. He was described as a thin black male wearing white sneakers, khaki cargo-style trousers, a black hooded sweatshirt and a skeleton-style mask.

Highway Patrol troopers stopped a vehicle that police believe may have been used in the armed robberies at the Kangaroo at Highway 14 and Woodruff Road, Lentz said. The area is behind the parking lot for the East Carolina Police Department.

Anyone with information should call Silent Observer at 616-774-2345 or Walker Police at 616-791-6788. Victims told police they were robbed and then the two robbers ran from the apartment.

The robbery took place on 11th Street near Anderson Street in Greenville. The suspect was wearing a blaze orange and black patterned deer hunting coat and a pair of blaze orange insulated bibs/pants along with a dark mask and ski goggles.
