Past year the Emmanuel Family & Child Development Center inadvertently missed the deadline to apply for Toys for Tots, but the public came through with donations.

Since older kids' needs often are overlooked, please consider donating for those ages 12 to 18.

"It was 21 people originally last year and this year I think we're a little over 150 and still growing".

Among the families getting donations this year is that of Linda Sanchez.

The drive is seeking new, unopened and unwrapped toys for children in Larimer County.

And thanks to the generous donations from all of the small business owners who joined the club they now have a mission to help more than just the kids.

In St. Lawrence County, Ms. Reynolds says the need is great, with many children living at or below the poverty line.

The goal for this Holiday season is to help around 2,000 children and teenagers receive gifts this Christmas, and according to Davies donations are right on track to reaching its goal.

Toys for Tots collection drives are taking place nearly everywhere in Mid-Michigan, except Midland County. "You don't have to be a Marine to run a Toys for Tots campaign", Aloia said.

Toys for Tots does not accept clothing items and donated toys must be new.
