Local attorney offers safe rides on New Year's Eve

Considering how cold it's supposed to be on New Year's Eve in Madison, one of the best ways to get to your party place could be a free ride on a Metro Transit bus. The company, which stands as the largest Missouri-owned distributor of premium spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks, is giving away a total of 1,000 free rides to partiers in Missouri on New Year's Eve.

If you're going to celebrate this New Year's Eve make sure you do so safely!

Users should register in advance online and they will receive an email confirmation with a $25 Uber credit code.

Local MetroBus service will operate on its normal Sunday schedule.

According to Longview Transit Director of Operations Tequita Mumphrey, "Longview Transit has been providing Safe-Ride-Home transportation on New Year's Eve for nine years now, and it continues to be a great service for the community".

"We are still offering the same amount of free, extended service as we have in the past", Stammer said. Southbound trains from the University of Washington will run until 2 a.m.

Metro routes with added service as needed will include 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 14, 24, 32, 36, 40, 41, 62, 65, 70, 101, 106, 120, 124, 150, 255, RapidRide A, B, C, D and E Lines, and ST 550, ST 554.
