LaVar Ball Yanks Son LiAngelo From UCLA Amid Basketball Suspension

LiAngelo Ball is one of three UCLA basketball players who were indefinitely suspended following a shoplifting incident in China. However, LaVar Ball questioned the extent of Trump's involvement in securing his son's release from Chinese custody during a combative 20-minute CNN interview.

The charges against LiAngelo - and two other UCLA freshmen - were dropped, which is what reportedly has LaVar peeved over the suspension. LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill apologized for their actions, admitted to shoplifting during the team's season-opening trip to China and thanked Trump.

TMZ sources said LaVar Ball believes "there's no need to break down a kid's spirit for making a mistake".

It appears LiAngelo Ball's UCLA career has ended before it ever began. According to TMZ Sports, LaVar Ball has removed his son from the University altogether, meaning the freshman ball player won't be hooping for the Bruins or attending any more classes.

I guess we'll have to see what's in store for LiAngelo now, because it's hard to envision any school wanting him to play basketball there.

A 3-star prospect, LiAngelo Ball is the younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.
