Here's the first in-game footage of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' new desert map

PUBG for Xbox Was Treated Like a First-Party Title at Microsoft

Thankfully, the game's development team over at PUBG Corporation have acknowledged the need for variety and today's Game Awards event was the flawless time to display what new map Miramar has to offer.

Studio heads at PUBG Corp. strolled into the third hour of The Game Awards 2017 to relish in the success of a title that has sold 24 million units since March earlier this year.

In addition to the new map Bluehole, the publisher behind the game announced three cosmetic packs for the Xbox Ones Game Preview launch of PUBG, slated to release December 12.

Miramar is a new desert map, where we'll see denser urban areas and cities far larger than what we've seen in the current map Erangel.

There's only around 20 seconds of new desert map footage, admittedly, with an additional 60 seconds of bluster around it, but an bad lot has been packed into those brisk few moments. The abandoned factory town of Chumacera looks to be an interesting location to visit, and the oceanside Valle del Mar (Valley of the Sea) will play an important role, connecting a prison island to the map's mainland. That number should only grow with the Xbox One version's release next week. The Xbox One X Game Preview program, on the other hand, will be launching on December 12.
