Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris Character Level And Power Level Guide

Bungie Will Address Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris' Prometheus Lens Rifle Bug

If you're new to Destiny 2 then you might surprised to learn that since the launch of the Curse of Osiris expansion, you're now locked out of some high-level activities if you're playing without the new DLC.

Two of Destiny 2's toughest activities are the Prestige Raid and Prestige Nightfall Strike.

The Prometheus Lens is only available through the Curse of Osiris expansion, with it appearing as a random drop for players of the new DLC. This means players who previously enjoyed play Prestige Nightfall strikes won't be able to do so anymore, even on the strikes made available in the base game.

It will be interesting to see if there are any Sony policies that will require Bungie to make changes, specifically regarding the locking of a Platinum trophy behind a paywall outside of the vanilla game purchase.

This isn't the first time Bungie has done this with Destiny.

The expansion also includes Heroic versions of the open-world "Adventures", though on Mercury these still take place inside the instanced Infinite Forest rather than on the planet's surface. What seems a bit less natural, however, is the fact that the Prestige activities from the original game have had their power levels bumped, meaning you can't access them until you've grinded out to the new cap in the DLC. These missions are fairly short, on a smaller scale than main campaign missions, but help to expand Curse of Osiris' lore. If you haven't picked up the game yet, we highly recommend jumping on board, and we even named it a runner-up in our "best game of 2017" awards. The second expansion will arrive in spring 2018.
