Buhari hints on seeking re-election, says 'people of Kano in my pocket'

BCO lists achievements as Buhari visit Kano

Speaking in Kano, on Thursday, the President said if elections were to be free and fair, "people of Kano are in my pocket".

The 75-year-old charismatic leader said he would continue to do his best to ensure that the country attained greater heights. "So we have to make sacrifice to prepare the youth for the future", Buhari said.

-President Buhari promises to invest in youth development across the country.

The president said he had seen a lot in politics since he joined it in 2003, adding that Nigerians must understand the difference between democratic and military administration.

He said, "From 1999 to 2014, the wealth of this country was lavishly squandered by those in the position of authority. Nigerians are aware of what the PDP was able to do but can we say the same thing of the APC?" But in all that I did, I was making consultations with this Emirate Council.

"I am urging other states governors to emulate Ganduje by executing similar projects in their states".

The inmates including men and women were selected from the Kurmawa Central Prison, Kano.

Kano State Governor, Ganduje during the President's visit announced the naming of Giginyu specialist hospital after President Buhari which is to be called Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital. "In the end, I also ended in jail", he said.

President Buhari also praised Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for his efforts so far at implementing projects that have direct bearing on the standard of living of the people. He said the funds covered completion of all unfinished structure and provision of equipment and other hospital facilities to the two hospitals.
