Amazon Prive Video is Finally Available for Apple TV

Apple Accidentally Announces Launch of Amazon Prime Video App for Apple TV

The tvOS version is available to download on Apple TV 3rd generation devices or later, the Verge reports.

Amazon recently confirmed that Prime Video is still launching on Apple TV this year.

Amazon Prime Video has finally landed on Apple TV, around six months after Tim Cook first said it was coming. Given the benefit to both Prime Video and Apple TV users, it's good to see they can agree on at least one thing.

At its Worldwide Developers Conference keynote on June 5th, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the news re-confirming the app would be coming to Apple TV "later this year" with "a wealth of great content". At the time, Apple teased that the tvOS app is slated for a summer 2017 release. No release date was since mentioned by Apple.

For the uninitiated, Amazon Prime Video is a video streaming service similar to Netflix and Hotstar.

The new Prime Video app is now available to download for the Apple TV, you can find out more details about the app over at iTunes at the link below.

We love Amazon Prime. And if you can't, then we don't want to sell it to our customers, because they're going to be buying it thinking they can watch Prime Video and then they're going to be disappointed. It was also reported that Amazon would once again start selling the Apple TV on its platform, which is yet to happen.
