Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s Model Accused of Copying Apple iPhone X Designs

The smartphone in the above image is said to be Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, and it has the weird looking notch. However, the company is known to be "inspired" from Apple for most of its products and it seems that they are at it again for their flagship Mi MIX 2.

According to experts, Xiaomi Mi 2s Mix is an improved version of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Some leaked images of the Mi Mix 2s having an iPhone X-like notch at the top of the display appeared on Weibo, a very popular social media platform in China.

With the cutout at the top the selfie camera on the Mix Mix 2 moves from an unconventional bottom position to the more appropriate top.

Furthermore, the MIUI theme store has plenty of themes that allow users to give their Xiaomi phones an iPhone X-like look. So, there's a possibility that Xiaomi will include the proximity sensor, earpiece, and front-facing camera in the notch itself like how Apple did with the iPhone X.

The iPhone X's notch is filled with sensors for face recognition, along with a front-facing camera.

This is the first time we are hearing of the device named the Mi Mix 2s.

Xiaomi just released the Mi Mix 2, with roughly the same design as last year's model, and is a pretty great device (Jordan is in the process of reviewing it). The highlights of MI MIX 2 is its HD 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels 18:9 display with pixel density of 403 ppi and a DCI-P3 color gamut.

For those who're not aware, Mi Mix 2 can be purchased in India for Rs 35,999.
