TMZ: Charles Manson hospitalized, source says "it's just a matter of time"

Charles Manson Hospitalized — Convicted Killer Near Death Report Claims thumbnail

Charles Manson, the once charismatic leader of a 1960s cult embroiled in a series of high-profile murders is reportedly on death's door.

TMZ said its sources report Manson's health as steadily deteriorating.

Manson brought to a Bakersfield hospital on Sunday, November 11.

In January he was hospitalised for internal bleeding, and was judged too weak for surgery by doctors.

And prior to being moved to Corcoran in 1989, prison guards at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville found a hacksaw blade, marijuana and LSD in Manson's cells according to a report in the LA Times.

At this time, Charles Manson is still alive, although hospital sources told TMZ that "it's not going to get any better for him" and that "it's just a matter of time". He taught his followers that they were the reincarnation of "the original Christians" and "the Romans were the establishment".

Manson is serving life without parole for leading his followers on a murderous rampage in Los Angeles from August 9-10, 1969, that claimed the lives of actress pregnant Sharon Tate, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, Steven Parent, and Jay Sebring.

Another Manson Family member, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, was never charged in the murders but went to prison later for trying to assassinate President Gerald Ford in 1975. Manson took the phrase from the Beatles' song of the same name. My goal in life is to one day write a Batman screenplay.
