On Tuesday's show, Eve Jeffers Cooper debuted as the new host, joining Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, The Talk's previous co-host Aisha Tyler left the show in early August 2017, in an effort to pursue other creative projects.

The rapper and actress was one of the many guest hosts during the show's current eighth season, and, according to insiders, was among the "hundreds of names" considered to round out the cast.

Angelica McDaniel, EVP Daytime Programs at CBS Entertainment, said Eve "brings a fun and fresh perspective to our already diverse panel" and will add "a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season". She says, "I am a pretty open book".

"You have the best work ethic of anyone I've worked with", Osbourne told Tyler.

Though the 39-year-old Pennsylvania native now resides in London with her husband, British entrepreneur Maximillion Copper, and her four stepchildren, the decision to join the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show was simple.

No topic is off limits for Eve, and she's both excited and nervous for her new role, though she's received advice from the cast, especially Underwood. "I'm always interested in unique and fun parts", Eve reveals. "But the last few months I've been feeling that I want to join something".

Tyler, who has already guest co-hosted this season, is expected join the ladies at the table and fill in as a co-host from time-to-time when scheduling permits.
