'The Greatest Showman' Debuts an Epic New Trailer and Gorgeous Posters

Watch Hugh Jackman Sing in The Greatest Showman Trailer

The second trailer for the movie was released Monday evening (IST). The screenplay is co-written by Jenny Bicks and Oscar victor Bill Condon, and the supporting cast is rounded out by Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Zac Efron and Michelle Williams.

It's also pretty exciting that the trailer for The Greatest Showman which stars Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron has just been released today too. He sets out to recruit his cadre of performers, that includes Zendaya as an acrobat, Zac Efron as, we assume, the ringmaster, Rebecca Ferguson as a Swedish opera singer, and Broadway veteran Keala Settle as a very determined-looking bearded lady (Settle also sings "This Is Me", the uplifting song featured in the background). While this could have easily been a more realistic biopic, The Greatest Showman aims to showcase Barnum as a man who realized it was better to be different, and developed his circus to showcase unique and wonderful misfits.

The Oscar-winning team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land) wrote the film's original songs.

The synopsis of the film reads: "Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation". Towards the end of 2017, Jackman is back stronger than ever with his latest offering The Greatest Showman.

The Greatest Showman is directed by Michael Gracey from a screenplay from Jenny Bicks (Rio 2) and Bill Condon (director of Beauty and the Beast).
