Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 Content Announced, Teases Co-Operative Zombies Mode

Rainbow Six Siege is getting a third year of broken windows and shattered walls

The two new operators will be Italian GIS Operators.

This event will be playable during four weeks for free for Rainbow Six Siege owners. The first of those four seasons is called Operation Chimera, which will include "biohazard specialist" characters from France and Russian Federation. This sounds like it could be a kind of zombie mode, as it's tied to the biohazard and quarantine theme of Season 1, Operation Chimera, and the two new French and Russian biohazard specialist operators coming with it.

Players who delve into Mission Outbreak will be able to unlock exclusive collectibles for doing so, which will reportedly fit in with the setting of the in-game event.

What we do know about the three other seasons of Rainbow Six Siege in 2018 is somewhat limited. Ubisoft says "the essence of the map will remain the same, but the gameplay and tactics will be completely different".

Season 4 is again a traditional update as you will get two new operators and a new location from Morocco. If you want to nab the Year Three Pass (which simply includes early access to each operator and map), it will become available on December 12.

Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft's team tactical shooter from 2015, will be getting a third year of support, including the first ever co-op event, Outbreak, plus two brand new maps and eight new operators to choose from.
