Motorola's new Mod is a snap-on Polaroid photo printer

Motorola’s new Polaroid-printing Mod might be the best reason to buy a Moto Z

Motorola's Moto Mod lineup is an example of this, and today the Moto Mod lineup continues to expand with a pretty unique idea. As the name suggests, the moto mod can be attached to a compatible Motorola smartphone and used to print the pictures taken with the phone's camera while on the go. For those of you too young to remember, you'd snap a picture, it would spit out a photo, and you'd wave it until the image showed up.

The Polaroid-branded Insta-Share Printer Moto Mod will be available to buy directly from Motorola beginning Friday, November 17, and it will be priced at $199.99.

The printer uses ZINK technology and will quickly print out 2 x 3” smudge-proof photos. In this case, the Polaroid Insta-Share Printer, which was announced earlier this year, allows you to capture a photo and print it on 2 x 3-inch ZINK paper.

The mod attaches to the rear of your Moto Z device and features a dedicated camera button. You can even add filters and frames to your pictures and even print from Facebook, Instagram, and Google Photos. You're not limited to printing photos straight from your camera app either.

The Polaroid Insta-Share Printer Mod has a 500mAh battery that should last for up to 20 prints.
