Maurice Harris makes submission for Catch of the Year

The Redskins offense, behind quarterback Kirk Cousins, attempted to get back into the game late, but running back Chris Thompson was denied on both third and fourth down, needing just a yard to continue the team's drive.

But on the whole, Keenum's day was impressive, as former starter Teddy Bridgewater returned to the sidelines.

Bridgewater was activated last Wednesday from the physically unable to perform list, and there has been plenty of speculation about when he might regain his starting job. But Keenum was 21 of 29 for 304 yards and TD passes to Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, David Morgan and Jarius Wright and was picked off on consecutive throws. The Redskins (4-5) failed to build off an upset victory at Seattle and now find themselves on an uphill climb in the wild-card race. The 36-yard touchdown initially was ruled incomplete, but officials awarded Harris the touchdown after video review.

Harris leaped for the catch, grabbing it with one hand and crossing into the end zone. Diggs was flagged earlier for leaping into the base of the crossbar, which even in the New Fun League isn't allowed.

Minnesota Vikings sacks leader Everson Griffen was inactive for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
