First Footage From 'Jurassic World 2' Released

The First Jurassic World 2 Teaser Has Arrived Shannon Grixti

Jurassic World 2 is due to release in theatres on the 22nd of June, 2018.

The first proper trailer for the Jurassic World sequel is right around the corner and is slated to begin screening in US theaters with select prints of Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi next month.

It's very short, but the first footage from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has arrived online, which shows as Chris Pratt back as Owen Grady, petting a very cute baby raptor. Who else recalls that awesome velociraptor egg hatching scene in the original 1993 film, Jurassic Park?

The baby velociraptor looks like it's an animatronic dinosaur-which director J.A. Bayona promised there would be more of in the sequel-giving it more of a grounded look even in the brief clip.

Besides the return of Chris Pratt, we also know that Bryce Dallas Howard is returning as park coordinator Claire. So until then, please enjoy Pratt and his adorable raptor friend. And Steven Spielberg, who directed the first iconic film, is still signed on as an executive producer of this latest installment. Producers are Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley, along with Bayona's producing partner Belén Atienza.

"The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today: the abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, the use the military has made of them, animals as weapons", Treverrow said about the movie a year ago during Spain's Sitges Film Festival.
