Experiencing a cellular outage on AT&T? This simple step should fix it

Possible outage affecting iPhone users with AT&T

AT&T Inc.'s wireless network suffered a widespread failure Wednesday night that prevented some customers from placing or receiving calls.

Customers say they're unable to make or receive calls and are immediately disconnected when trying to make a call. Calls made to some iPhone models that support the AT&T pipeline are sent right to voicemail, without giving the device user a chance to answer. Some users said "disabling LTE" and entering the phone into airplane mode for 10 seconds was the only thing that would resolve the problem.

AT&T said on its Twitter account that some users may need to restart their phones several times.

St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta are among the other cities affected.

According to AT&T, the outage should be fixed by Thursday.

If you are an AT&T subscriber with an Apple iPhone, you might have found it hard to make or answer a phone call today on your device. If so, did a restart solve the problems?
