Dineshwar Sharma reaches Jammu, meets BJP delegation

Interlocutor calls on pro India leaders gets miffed response

The Joint Resistance Forum, a conglomerate of three separatist organisations-the hardline and moderate factions of the Hurriyat Conference and the JKLF-had announced that they would not meet with him and dubbed his appointment a "time-buying tactic" of the Centre. "Sharma should clarify whether a separatist deserves the royal treatment or jail according to the Indian Penal Code". "Is he aware about the situation of thousands of minor youth in J&K?"

"Hence ASKPC being the elected representative body of the community took serious note of it and refrain from meeting Dineshwar Sharma as their seems no concrete agenda for Kashmiri Pandit who are aborigines and main stake holders of Kashmir problem", he added.

"The Article 370 and Article 35A have become an unnecessary baggage of the past errors of the rulers of India; there is a national consensus to review these absurd laws that are in contravention of the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Indian Constitution to the citizens of India", said Chrungoo.

Mr Sharma, a 1979-batch IPS officer and former Director of Intelligence Bureau would be concluding his five-day visit of twin capitals on Friday.

"Sharma ji has been used as sacrificial goat (bali ka bakra) by Modi Govt. only because Modi ji has his mission Gujarat more important to him than mission India in J&K", he claimed.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's advisor Professor Amitabh Mattoo said the government is committed for ensuring honorable and safe return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.

"Can Hon'ble RSS Prime Minister tell his own party what proposition earlier Interlocutors had put forth during past 70 years vis-à-vis Jammu and Kashmir?" he asked.
