Declan Donnelly reveals Ant McPartlin's replacement

Ant and Dec with last year's I'm a Celebrity... winner Scarlett Moffatt

Beaming widely for cameras and walking to their famous perch in the jungle for the first time this series, Ant proved he was back to his best - after a summer battling his drink and drug addictions.

Ant and Dec introduced another series of I'm A Celebrity on Sunday night with jokes that Ant McPartlin had been replaced with fellow ITV presenter Holly Willoughby.

Ant and Dec then returned to their usual jokes as they got on with the rest of the show, however, Dec couldn't resist taking another swipe at his co-star later in the show.

The presenter, 42, looked healthier and happier than ever and showed off a deep bronzed tan from his time in Australia, as he confidently fronted the first episode with his co-host Declan Donnelly.

Welcoming viewers back to the programme, Dec said "Your hosts with the most, me and the gorgeous Holly Willoughby".

Dec quipped back: "Guys, that is the wrong script". You've put the wrong script in!' "We didn't know if you'd be here". "Nobody was sure if you would make it".

He went on to reiterate: "I was always going to make it... come on!"

His struggle with addiction began after he was prescribed heavy painkillers for a knee injury, which unfortunately became more painful after surgery.

The pair later referenced the issue once again, with Dec jokingly asking Ant "Where have you been all summer?!" All summer, that took me. "What were you doing?"

Dec later asked Ant what he'd been up to instead of being on TV.

"Just stuff... just dead busy", said Ant, twirling his mug awkwardly and requesting the show cut to the video section where celebrities talk to camera.
