Despite the unceremonious end to his National Football League tenure, Kelly is an experienced coach with a system that unquestionably works at the college level. Six members of the school's athletic foundation visited him at his New Hampshire home last week, according to multiple reports. The Bruins are believed to be attractive to Kelly given his West Coast ties, but have the drawback of being an Under Armour school (Kelly has a long-standing relationship with Nike founder Phil Knight dating back to his OR days).

As (g) rumors continue to swirl in Knoxville around which coach will replace ousted Tennessee head coach Butch Jones, it appears one name has been removed from the conversation.

For all of that, it makes flawless sense to name Chip Kelly as TMG's Newsmaker of the Week.

Kelly could also consider other jobs that might soon open, including Arizona State, Texas A&M and Arkansas.
