CBI had zoomed in on juvenile in 6 days, searched his home

He was hung upside down and brutally thrashed.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has now reportedly said that the Class XI student of Ryan International School who has been taken into custody was in the list of suspects since the first week of investigation.

Meanwhile, father of the accused minor claimed that his son was being tortured.

CBI after examining the CCTV footages and interrogating several teachers, students and other school staff had arrested the 16-year-old class 11 student as the main accused in the case. "CBI officials wanted him to be sent to the juvenile home in Delhi but we fought against that because as per the jurisdiction he should be sent to the Faridabad juvenile home".

The sources said the team reached the school at around noon along with the accused and remained there for over three hours before taking him to the juvenile court where a hearing was scheduled.

The Juvenile Court today sent the class 11th student to a correction home till November 22.

They also alleged a larger conspiracy behind the murder and said that they want the CBI to file a charge sheet soon.

Meanwhile, the father of teenager on Saturday alleged that the CBI was torturing his son which was strongly refuted by the agency. The agency claimed that the boy murdered Pradyuman to defer examination as well as parents teacher meeting. There was a twist in the tale on Wednesday when the CBI said that the murder was committed by the 16-year-old boy and not the conductor who was earlier made an accused in the case.

Sources, however, said the shopkeeper was unable to recognise the apprehended boy as the one who bought the knife.

They said the officer, a completely independent entity, remains present during the questioning sessions and also whenever the accused is taken to a location.

Sources said the agency is also looking at the possibility of involvement of some more people but it has not questioned or detained anyone in this regard so far.

Pradyuman Thakur, a student of the Ryan International School, Gurugram, was found dead inside the toilet of school premises, with his throat slit on September 8.
